Power struggle between global actors over Balkans after Cold War caused a genocide practiced in the middle of Europe and in front of the whole world. Lastly, there was Russia that was supporting Serbians in line with its aims on Balkans. Of course, there was also a country in which more than 250 thousand innocent civilians were massacred during 3-year long occupation.

We were subjected to genocide and assmiliation policy of Russia for centuries. The names of the places in which we were living were changed; our alphabet was changed and our right of education was taken away; our foundations were appropriated; and we were subjected to economic sanctions. The last hit to Crimea came with mass deportation on 18 May 1944 and around 250 thousand innocent civilians were exiled to different parts of Soviet after a death journey which took place under very harsh conditions. Due to harsh exile conditions, more than 100 thousand people lost their lives both during the journey and within the following 18 months.

Armenia occupied Nagorno Karabagh region belonging to my county on 26 February 1992, and massacred more than 600 people comprised of women, children and old people from Khojali village. However, world public ignored this genocide.

Global system targeting Kurdish people in my country during Iran-Iraq war launched a chemical operation by favor of Saddam Hussein in Halabja. Without making any separation between young-old and woman-man, it was lunged at a whole city with chemical weapons accepted as crime against humanity. More than 6 thousand people lost their lives either by poisoning or burning during the massacre performed on 16 March 1988. Furthermore, around 15 thousand people got serious injuries. Accoring to a report of WHO, this chemical attack caused death of around 45 thousand people and that more than 60 thousand people became handicapped.

Tsarist Russia implying occupation and genocide policies over Caucasian societies for centuries caused death of hundred of thousands of people due to forced exile activities againt Cherkes people in North Caucasia. Since 1864, millions of people were exiled to Ottoman geography, and hundred of thousands of people died either during the joourney or after it because of harsh conditions.
