Family Yiğit is based Bartın and currently living in Herne/ Germany, was insulted for years by their neighbours Islamophobic and racist abuse. Their car was set on fire and they were attacked with irritant gas. The family who complained to the police constantly said ‘’We cannot protect you. Get out of this house.’’
Ramis Yigit, "When we moved to Germany, my wife was wearing hijab and people shouted at her and ‘’you do not belong here, go to Turkey," they said. Then another neighbor insulted Islam. After the attack on Charlie Hebdo, the dose of insults increased. Three years ago, they rode my car six times. The State Conservation Department watched the neighborhood for three months with a hidden camera. Evidence was also found, but the file was closed.
