What do the executions in Bangladesh mean?
Our press statement titled as “What does the executions in Bangladesh mean?” has been released to the public at a press conference held in the center of association by Ayhan Küçük, president of UHIM.

Motiur Rahman Nizami who was the leader of Jamaat-e-Islami which is one of the biggest political parties in Bangladesh executed. The systematic executions targeting the leaders of the party has been continuing for several years. They are charged with their opposition to the partition proceess Pakistan in 1970’s., that is a half-century ago. They are judged in the so-called ‘international’ courts which have no international dimension. Hence, the decrees of death penalty prove not to be judicial but political.
Hasina Vecid, doughter of the separatist leader Mujibur Rahman who is supported by England governs the country. She maintains her power by means of an illegitimate election held in 2014 which is protested by almost all the parties in the country having the  participation rate of %10.

In the present case, what do the executions in Bangladesh mean?
Do they want to suppress and push the Jamaat-e-Islami which is a rooted Islamic movement possessing political clout in Pakistan, India and Bangladesh out of political and social sphere? Has the same operation which was carried out against the Muslim Brotherhood by the West and certain Arab countries in the process of ‘Arap Spring’ been performing against Jamaat-e-Islami? Does India have problem with the existance of an Islamic entity in her hinterland? Does England try to abolish this entity that could harm the hegemonic relationship she has built in this region through colonial activities for centuries via local decision-makers as she always does? Does the USA aim at creating an unstable ground in the region to be able to control the rich oil/gas reserves? Do the USA and Europe, which accused the Muhammad Morsi government that earned the acceptance of the public of being undemocratic, accept the government of Bangladesh which took power by means of an election having the participation rate of %10  as legitimate because it corresponds to its interests?  Do the West want to initiate an internal strife to put a tighter leash on population in Bangladesh which is one of the poorest and most crowded countries in the world? Do they want to organize a breakup like Arab Spring in the Indian subcontinent? Do they want to create a chaotic atmosphere over the tiniest spark given off in Bangladesh involving Pakistan, the only country of Islamic world with nuclear power, as well?

The organizations claiming to represent the Islamic world like The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the non-governmental organizations, journalists, academicians and artists should react strongly and say something about the executions which only Turkey takes a tough line against among the states. In doing this, an approach uncovering the real responsibilities of the executions should be adobted, for it is impossible to understand the real reasons behind these executions without understanding the purposes of the global imperial system over the region.
